FIREFOX ADDON BETTERCACHE
Web servers often limit a browsers cache by sending special header instructions. Hence some sites won't get cached.
There are legal reasons for this behaviour, for example a secure site should not be available all the time. Other servers restrict caching of e.g. Flash videos to prevent downloading from cache. Last not least, every page that contains a query (the ? in the URL) is not cacheable if no expiration time headers are sent.
In some cases those restrictions may be annoying or even inappropriate. This extension filters anti-cache headers (e.g. cache-control) to restore full cache functionality. So BetterCache may improve offline browsing as well as extracting files from cache. Also more javascript and other previously uncacheable files get cached. Therefore browsing through the cache can appear smoother.
BetterCache provides an always-cache list as well as a never-cache list. You can define mimetypes in both lists. Rules in the never-cache list will emulate anti-cache headers.
Also includes option to enable caching on secure connections.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This extension is intended for advanced/professional users only: It needs to be configured properly - otherwise you will experience browsing problems. At least you should know what mime types are and you should be able to use them adequately. Bettercache modifies HTTP-headers! Please do not use it, if you are unsure how to handle this stuff. Some hints on configuration are provided, but there is NO tutorial.
