Bytescout Software today announces the release of SWF Scout 2.00. This is a new major version of a royalty-free ActiveX library that allows developers to empower their applications with the capabilities for creating SWF Flash movies. By adopting SWF Scout, developers eliminate the need for additional libraries because it'll address all their Flash creation needs. The library is accurately documented and comes along with over 100 examples for VB, ASP, ASP.NET, C# and C++ that will help developers to get started with SWF Scout quickly.
The library offers plenty of features to create professional-looking Flash movies. For example, there is an ability to load EMF, JPG, PNG, BMP and other types of images, add shapes, buttons, texts, text edits, morphing shapes and sprites. The latter may be any external SWF movie loaded to be used as a sprite. What's more, you can add sound both MP3 and WAV and FLV video. Events and actions will help you add a level of interactivity to a Flash movie. There is even a built-in ActionScript compiler to let you compile AS source code.
SWF Scout 2.00 delivers some new features and enhancements that improve the capabilities for creating Flash. Now the library has a high-quality conversion of EMF to SWF in the vector format. There is also a support for hDC emulation, which means you can take the existing code for report printing and use it to draw reports in the Flash format. Flash for mobile devices hasn't been missed out either. Now SWF Scout has an ability to create Flash movies in the Flash Lite format, including support for ActionScript for Flash Lite format. SWF Scout 2.00 provides an opportunity to use existing Flash movies as templates for creation of new movies (using the functions of images and text substitution).
Some features in SWF Scout have been improved to better meet the demands of customers. For example, there is an enhanced opportunity to use SWF movies from files to create and merge them into a single movie. Some other important enhancements include an opportunity to convert Flash to EXE or a standalone screensaver (.SCR). SWF3XML and XML2SWF features make it possible to decompile and compile SWF files to XML and back.
