Dekart SIM Explorer is an intelligent cell phone card processing tool, designed to view and edit the contents of a GSM SIM, 3G USIM or CDMA R-UIM card. Dekart SIM Explorer allows you to view and edit the raw data; provides a more convenient way to display the information, interpret the contents of the file and show it in a human-readable form. Besides viewing and editing files, the application can scan a SIM card in order to reveal unknown files. Dekart SIM Explorer allows you to conduct a 'live' analysis of a SIM card (i.e. operate with the card directly) or an 'offline' analysis (i.e. the data are backed up to a file and processed without having the SIM card itself).

December 11, 2008 - Dekart announces the release of Dekart SIM Explorer 1.2 - an intelligent and advanced mobile phone card analysis tool intended for forensic investigations that can now make a side by side visual comparison of SIM cards and generate printable reports in an improved interface.
Dekart SIM Explorer is an intelligent cell phone card processing tool, designed to view and edit the contents of a GSM SIM, 3G USIM or CDMA R-UIM card. The program is primarily built for forensic detectives, developers, reverse engineers, as well as for mobile operators, content providers and others who need flexible access to the structure of a SIM card.
Dekart SIM Explorer 1.2 new version has gained the unique side by side SIM card comparison dialog which shows the structure of two SIM cards in a tree where each directory file and elementary file is marked with different colours, allowing you to easily see if a file exists on the other card and whether it has the same properties. When you click on a file on one panel, SIM Explorer will select the corresponding file on the other card. You then see the contents of each file and colours are used to highlight the differences, allowing you to visually review the files much quicker. The synchronized scrolling of both sides makes comparing them even easier. SIM Explorer 1.2 is also able to compute the hash of the SIM card, thus showing whether the card was changed or not since the last time you analyzed it.
Due to recent changes, SIM Explorer 1.2 can now generate a plain-text report that contains details about a SIM card. Moreover, SIM Explorer is now associated with .sim files which can be opened in the program by double clicking on it. You can also search for .sim files and reveal which other SIM card images you saved refer to the same card you are analyzing at the moment. You can also see when the SIM file was created and modified and compare the card with itself at an earlier stage. Available buttons for quick access of functions are “compare SIM”, “restore SIM”, “open SIM”.
