Excelsior Installer is a freeware tool to create good-looking and compact installers for your Windows applications.
It is designed to be as easy to use as possible. To build the installer you use its wizard-style Packager which guides through the packaging process and suggests a rich set of reasonable default parameter values so that only a few items have to be filled-in manually.
Setup packages are produced in form of self-installing EXE files, which is most suitable for Internet distribution. Good data compression and small installer overhead in the package allows avoid using additional compression software for your code and data.
Each setup package supports English, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian and Spanish installation languages with automatic or manual language selection.

New version have a number of improvements in functionality and user interface. The most distinctive improvement is Windows Explorer integration that significantly simplifies creation of installation packages. Now to create an installation package developer may simply put files of the application to a separate folder, then right-click this folder in Windows Explorer and select appropriate command from popup menu. What is new in 1.8 software version? - NSIS integration.
Excelsior Installer is now able to build your setup package with NSIS.
You may use Excelsior Installer as a GUI front-end for NSIS or use this feature to migrate your project to NSIS whenever necessary.. What is expected in the future?
