Hardware Inspector Client/Server is an ideal solution for global computer hardware and software inventory. It maintains detailed data on every asset: installation data, warranty period, accounting data, ownership and retirement. Each device has several histories: maintenance, transfers, inventory sessions and colocation with other devices. Users can import system reports by EVEREST, ASTRA and ASTRA32. Imported data can be processed by automated computer audit, which searches for any deviations in PC configurations: changes in devices, network settings, etc.
The program features multiple inventory options: necessary access restrictions for inventory sessions, barcode scanner support, barcode print labels, concise reports on inventory progress and results. The installation setup contains the program module that can import data from Hardware Inspector database and conduct an inventory session without access to the database. Installed on a laptop and equipped with a barcode scanner, the program module turns it into an effective data terminal.
Users can work with a global database via the Internet. Access permission can be restricted at several levels: access to the database, program features, device types and workplaces tree nodes. Access rights may be granted to individual users, user groups and all users. The client/server technology provides high security and damage safety. The unique inside solution does not need special programs like MS SQL and MySQL.
Hardware Inspector Client/Server can function as a highly-tailored Service Desk. It has the following features: efficient delegation of responsibilities, customizable request parameters, impartial assessment and control of IT team performance, notifications about changes in requests, integration with assets histories.

This feature allows you to monitor the compliance with the software use policy in your organization. It tracks down all installations in client machines and filters them according to your custom settings. Also this tool allows you to report on all software installed in workplaces.
New report templates
"List of connections" is a handy template to keep you up on all information about network devices and connections. "Warranty period expiration" allows you to draw a report on devices with indemnity period expired in no time. "Subscription period expiration" helps you find licenses with expired subscription period. In whole the reporting features of the both programs were enhanced in several important ways: larger sets of fields used in the Visual Designer, more filter options, higher speed of report generation.
Launching of external applications
Now you can launch an external application from the context menu of the workplace tree (for example, Remote Desktop, RAdmin, Ping).
Types of network connections
The network inventory becomes more precise with the catalog of network connections: for example, optical, WiFi, etc.
Background back-up copying
This feature saves you trouble of creating back-up copies of your database on your own. It comes in very useful as databases accessed via network in multi-user mode are prone to be damaged due to system or power failure. The copying schedule and options are defined in the program settings.
