FIREFOX ADDON OPEN TAB COUNT
This extension will show you the number of open tabs in the status bar. If you have more than one window open, it displays the number of tabs for the current window and the total number of tabs for all windows.
It has been tested in FF2 and FF3 on Windows, OS X, and Linux.
