"PC SMS Receiver" is an application for receiving SMS messages on your PC via a GSM modem or a mobile phone connected to a serial port (or a USB port with a cable driver creating a virtual serial port). To be used with "PC SMS Receiver" your mobile phone must support the AT command set for receiving SMS messages, as defined in the GSM 07.05 Specification. "PC SMS Receiver" can receive and reassemble "long" (or "concatenated") SMS messages. A GSM modem is preferable to a mobile phone because some mobile phones do not forward "long" messages via the modem interface. "PC SMS Receiver" can forward received messages as emails with possible filtering by the first word of the message.

"PC SMS Receiver" was tested with Siemens C55 mobile phone and Siemens TC35 GSM modem.
