SolFS Driver Edition SDK 1.5

With Solid File System Driver SDK your application can create a virtual disk, accessible for all or chosen processes. This disk can be made visible to the user, as a regular disk. The virtual disk (storage) is formatted using SolFS file system.

SolFS is is a virtual file system, stored in single file (or database record, file resource or just memory block). SolFS has all necessary functionality, that can be found in mode file systems, such as support for streams inside of files, file and stream encryption, compression, journalling (support for data integrity), file and storage metadata, symbolic links etc.

Using SolFS you can simplify or completely solve the problem of managing large number of supplementary files, needed to your application. Now your customers won' t be confused by unknown files, populating their disk drive. Also the problem of accidential file deletion is solved: all files are kept in one place out of user' s touch. When you use one file (file system storage) application maintenance and user support becomes much easier.

EldoS Corporation announced release of Driver Edition SDK for its Solid File System (SolFS) product. Driver Edition SDK is available for Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista operating systems and also for Windows CE (including Windows Mobile platform).
SolFS Driver Edition SDK by EldoS Corporation lets you create storage files for your data and make them available to all or chosen applications. This is accomplished by installing a kernel-mode file system driver, which offers system-wide access to the storage. The storage files can be kept on the hard disk or on any other media including operating memory, database BLOB record or even accessed via Internet.
“ With SolFS Driver Edition the word “ disk” doesn’ t mean the partition on your hard drive anymore. Your partition can be located anywhere, in memory or in Antarctica, being as safe as you need” , said Eugene Mayevski, CTO of EldoS Corporation.
Solid File System is a sophisticated file system, which lets you transparently encrypt and compress the data on per-file or whole-storage basis. AES 256 encryption lets you achieve highest security level for the stored data.
Using access control, built into Driver Edition SDK, you can limit access to your storages to only your own program or a set of selected programs.
Being available for both Windows and for Windows CE, SolFS Driver Edition SDK 1.5 provides security and compression of the data, that you carry with you in Windows Mobile Smartphone or communicator.
The SDK can be used with all major development tools: Visual Studio. NET, Visual C++, Delphi, C++Builder.
