TiViTunes is a utility which will publish (export) your iTunes playlists so that TiVo can play them.
If you have your TiVo connected to your home wireless (or wired) network, you probably already know that TiVo can stream and play your MP3 files. Just point the TiVo Desktop software at your main music folder. But there's only one problem: if you're using iTunes on your PC, TiVo will not be able to see your iTunes playlists!
TiViTunes solves this problem by exporting your iTunes playlists to a folder on your Windows computer so that TiVo can play them!
TiViTunes is very easy to use. Just select the destination folder, then select the iTunes playlists to be exported, and hit the Publish Playlists to iTunes button. That's all it takes!
Version 1.3 adds support for the free Universal Audio Plug-in, which allows your TiVo to play songs in formats other than MP3. For example, you can now play songs in MP3, AAC, M4A, M4B, OGG, WMA, SHN, FLAC, and APE format.

Mill Valley, CA - Maximized Software, Inc. has released TiViTunes version 1.3, a free upgrade to its innovative software which allows TiVo users to play any playlist created in iTunes.
"Many users have large iTunes song libraries, but are frustrated by their TiVo's inability to play an iTunes playlist, " said Ken Spreitzer, President of Maximized Software. "Normally, TiVo users can only play songs by artist or by album, but cannot play iTunes playlists. This limitation exists because iTunes stores its playlists internally and does not make them available to a TiVo. TiViTunes solves this problem by publishing iTunes playlists to the user's local hard drive so that they can be played by TiVo boxes."
Since TiVo units can normally only play songs in MP3 format, prior versions of TiViTunes would automatically exclude from a published playlist any song which was stored in a format other than MP3. Version 1.3 of TiViTunes adds support for including songs in multiple formats in addition to MP3. This capability is useful to users of a free utility written by Dan Haddix called the Universal Audio Plug-in, which allows TiVo units to play songs in formats other than MP3. The Universal Audio Plug-in runs alongside the TiVo Desktop software on the user's local PC and converts songs from other formats into MP3 format on the fly as they are being served.
Version 1.3 of TiViTunes is available as a free upgrade to all registered users of TiViTunes. Users will be automatically updated the next time their copy of TiViTunes checks for new versions, or they can manually get the new version at any time by opening the Web menu and choosing Check For Updates.
