Note: Tags were not "deleted" in the previous version. Firefox 3 tags are per-URL, *NOT* per-bookmark. When the URL of the bookmark changes, the bookmark will inherit the tags from the new URL (which in most cases was blank). This new version of Update Bookmark will copy over the tags of the old URL to the new URL (appending them if necessary).. What is expected in the future?
