Zipedia 0.4.0.10
FIREFOX ADDON ZIPEDIA
Offline Wikipedia Browser.
(For quick start/evaluation, install this extension and visit the URL 'wikipedia://wiki/MainPage' for instructions)
When you have no Internet, or when the Internet is so slow, wouldn't it be nice to be able to type (example) 'wikipedia://wiki/Egypt' for immediate offline access to a wikipedia article? You will still need to download the wikipedia XML dump for offline use (see below), but you will not need to run neither MySQL nor mediawiki - nor will you need Internet connection (except for viewing the article images, which will not be available offline). All the (readonly) wiki stuff will be done by firefox itself.
Features:
Page viewing: Articles, Talk, etc.
Search: Wildcard search by title
Setting Zipedia:
Go to Tools->Add-ons->zipedia->preferences. The wizard will guide you through the steps of downloading the wikipedia XML dump (~3G for the English wiki) and the conversion process, which could take a few hours.
