OUTLOOK : SAVE MESSAGES AND ATTACHMENTS
MS-Outlook : Export messages and attachments into the file system or delete them
The Problem: On a daily basis you back up your files (hopefully). The criteria for backing up of a file is the archive bit. The Outlook datafiles (PST-Files) of your Outlook increase in size of megabytes. They are saved evry time completly, even if only a small new message of a few kilobytes is added. khoSAM will solve this problem. That costs time and space on your backup media. The idea. The Outlook datafile will not be backuped anymore (on a daily basis). Instead of that the new exported messages files will be saves as seperate messages (*.msg) together with all includes attachments in a directory of your choice and be backed up on this way. The solution. a Little bit of VBA-Code at the right place will run at the unload event of Outlook and save all (un-)read mails of the (sub-)folders of your choice. Mark folders of your choice with a delete-after flag and all mail items in that folder will be deleted after the configured time span.
